- There is no charge for the entry ticket; it is absolutely free for you. Spread across 15 acres, you will see 159 varieties of different flowers in Amrit Udyan. The garden remains open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, no entry is allowed after 4:00 PM.

History of Amrit Udyan
Spread over a 15-acre area at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Amrit Udyan is considered its soul. Sir Edwin Lutyens prepared the design of Amrit Udyan (then Mughal Garden) in 1917. However, the plantation (planting of saplings) started in 1928-1929. This means the history of Amrit Udyan is now 96 years old. The design of Amrit Udyan closely resembles the Taj Mahal and the gardens of Kashmir.
This was the reason why its name used to be Mughal Garden. In its structure, you will see a beautiful blend of British style along with the Mughal style. Divided into four parts, these gardens are interconnected yet unique. Speaking of flowers, Jasmine, Rose, and Tulips are used here to add fragrance and color.
