Today we’ll talk about Koh Rong, Cambodia’s best beaches. When I first heard about Koh Rong, I was very curious about what this place was like. Who lived there? Is there a city here? If there is a city, how does it function? And if not, what is there that attracts us to visit there? So, in this blog, we’ll learn about Koh Rong, Cambodia’s best beaches.
I’m sure it’s just a small beach in Thailand, but as I learned more about it, I realized it’s a place unlike any other. Rhodes isn’t visible here, because there aren’t any. It’s not crowded, just white sand, coconut trees, and the ocean that soothes the body and mind.
For your information, a little away from Koh Rong, Sihanoukville, you will see an island, to go there you can use a board.
The high speed boat journey of about 45 minutes starts from Sihanoukville. You will not see any road, because there is no road on this 78 Square Kilometer Island. The meaning is simple: while travelling, everything is not that easy to reach on time. It is sure to take time. Boating is the only way to reach here, but this special thing makes the trip doubly fun, because the places which are difficult for us to reach are equally peaceful and nestled in the lap of nature.
It might be worth starting with Long Beach.

While visiting Koh Rong for the first time wasn’t difficult, it still captivated us. If you’ve already been there or are packing your bags to go, you should definitely visit. Upon arriving, you should first learn a little about Long Beach, including what it is. Long Beach? It’s also known as Southwestern Beach, 7 km Beach, or Sok San Beach. It’s the island’s longest beach, measuring approximately 7 kilometers. The sand is so soft that walking barefoot doesn’t hurt, and there are some rocks at the southern end of the beach that are a great spot for snorkeling. Watching the sun set over the ocean in the evening can be truly breathtaking, a sight that’s hard to describe. The sound of the waves, the coconut trees swaying in the gentle breeze, and the vast expanse of empty sand make it seem as if time has stopped for a moment. There are also good accommodation and dining options available, so most people start their trip here.
Lazy Beach is the name itself.

Just like we learned about Long Beach, it was the other way around. Lazy Beach is considered to be the perfect setting, as this beach offers a completely different experience. Located on the southwestern side of the neighboring island of Koh Rong Sanloem, it’s not among the largest beaches in the area, but it’s one of the most beautiful and cleanest. Accommodation options are limited, making it a bit difficult to access, but that’s precisely why it feels like you’ve found a private, pine-shaded beach.
There’s no noise here. Everything is quiet. Lazy Beach is perfect for walking, spending time alone, reading books, and relaxing. It’s also considered perhaps the best place on Koh Rong Sanloem to watch the sunset.

Lonely Beach: The ocean glowing at night

Earlier we talked about Lazy Beach. Now we’re going to talk about Lonely Beach. For your information, Lonely Beach is located in the northern part of the island, a little away from the rest. The white sand here stretches far and wide, and the clear waters, along with the coconut trees, create a very peaceful atmosphere.
here at nightThe plankton in the ocean begin to glow, making the water appear as dazzling as the stars in the sky. When you’re here, you’ll find the scene truly beautiful. If you see it, it’ll be a memory you’ll cherish for life. It’s etched into the memory of anyone who’s witnessed it. As soon as you dip your hand into the water, waves of light begin to rise. If you visit Koh Rong, be sure to take a night to see it. It will captivate you.

Coconut Beach – Peace near the village

For those living in cities, the important aspects of village life are quite attractive. If you’re looking to stay a little away from the crowds, yet still close to the hustle and bustle of the village, Coconut Beach is a great option. It’s a quiet and beautiful bay in the southwestern part of the island, just a 10-minute walk from Daem Thkov Village. Budget-friendly accommodation options are also available here, from tents to villas, though don’t expect AC; the cool ocean breeze will suffice.
